HI, WELCOME TO THE BLOG OF ST CLAIR PHOTOGRAPHY

We are wedding and portrait photographers based in New Zealand. We currently skip back and forth between Japan and New Zealand shooting everything from weddings to model portfolios and portrait sessions. We are available to shoot nationwide including Waikato / Auckland / Wellington / Christchurch / Dunedin, and also internationally. We shoot both medium format / 35mm film, and digital. Have fun looking through our photos, come back often and see what we're up to. We hope to hear from you whether you're interested in meeting with us, or just want to chat about photography.

A new addition to the family

A recent addition to my collection of work horses. A 1958 Leica M2 and Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.4. Check out the weight! It’s a featherweight compared to a DSLR. Compared to the Canon 5D I had a long time ago it’s about 1/4 of the weight. Shooting rangefinder and medium format cameras has been the best thing I’ve done for both my photography and shoulders!

May 26, 2010 - 4:02 pm Adrian Rodriguez - How did you manage to snag one of those? Are those pretty expensive? I have been wanting to find a Leica, but everything I see is wayyyyyy out of my budget range. I am hoping one drops in my lap.

May 26, 2010 - 5:31 pm Jason - I actually sold this not too long ago! Missing it already but wasn't getting enough use as I have an M7. Check out rangefinder forum's classifieds and keep your eyes peeled for a deal.
